Just a few years ago, I was stuck in the corporate 9-to-5 grind. I felt like I was drifting, cluelessly moving through the one life I was given. The thought of not living on my own terms, of wasting the blessing of life, scared the absolute shit out of me.
Deep down, I knew that before I die, I needed the catharsis of knowing I actually helped others in this life. I found my purpose through teaching and mentoring younger students, and I still do to this day. Helping them achieve their academic goals actually helped achieve my goal too of living purposefully.
My purpose was simple: to live a self-directed life and provide for those around me.
In 2025, my life completely changed. I scaled my online tutoring company NL English Academy while simultaneously travelling across Asia, and competing in professional Muay Thai. I achieved true time and location freedom, to do whatever I want, whenever I wanted to.
